What is a Harvest TruGiclee?
The process of printing fine art prints extends well beyond the function of the printer itself. Creating the edition requires the utmost care and attention to detail. We customize the color settings for each image so that the print is truly what the artist has in mind. The French term “Giclée,” means spraying of ink, is often used to describe these prints. Four Iris precision nozzles spray up to a million microscopic droplets of ink per second on the fine art archival paper or canvas. Each piece of paper or canvas is individually hand-mounted. Displaying a full-color spectrum the prints are lush and velvet like, capturing the subtle nuances of the artwork.
Large format printing is available using state-of-the-art Roland technology. This six-color variable droplet process provides a large print capacity with exceptional print detail. UV stable pigmented or dye-based inks with fine art paper or Bulldog Pigmented canvas are used.
Another large format printer, the high-tech ColorSpan Mach 12, is designed with twelve state of the art thermal inkjet printheads and has a 72” capacity. Multi-density pigment and dye based inks are used to achieve extraordinary print quality.
Other services include protective coating, hand embellishment, silkscreen, lithography, stretching, framing, and fulfillment.
Harvest TruGiclee prints have successfully been displayed in many exhibits, galleries and museums throughout the United States and abroad. This is an exciting era for this technology, which exemplifies a blending of science and the arts.
